Case Study: Canadian Energy Ministers’ Meeting – Toronto, September 19
Overview
Global Audiovisual was selected to provide audio, wireless push-to-talk microphones, simultaneous interpretation equipment, and interpretation services for a high-profile Canadian Energy Ministers’ meeting held at the Ontario Trade and Investment Office in Toronto. Interpreters were supplied by our trusted partner, Irvine Interpretation.
The Challenge
The event took place on the 35th floor of a downtown Toronto high-rise, where radio interference from surrounding buildings is highly possible. Beyond reliability, privacy of the audio communications was an absolute requirement, given the sensitive nature of the ministers’ discussions. Ensuring secure, interference-free, and confidential audio was essential for both the closed-door meeting and the live press conference that followed.
The Solution
To eliminate the risk of interference and guarantee privacy, Global Audiovisual implemented a wireless infrared system for the push-to-talk microphones. Unlike RF-based systems, infrared technology cannot be intercepted or disrupted by external radio signals, ensuring both interference-free performance and confidentiality. Combined with our state-of-the-art simultaneous interpretation equipment, this solution provided secure, crystal-clear communication across all languages.
The Outcome
The meeting and press conference were executed flawlessly, with zero interference issues and full audio privacy maintained. Delegates and interpreters experienced secure, high-quality audio throughout, reinforcing trust in the system. This project demonstrated Global Audiovisual’s ability to deliver innovative, privacy-first, interference-proof solutions for high-stakes government and corporate meetings.
